Our Story

How it all started

As proud parents to an adorable, keen pointer spaniel mix, rescue dog, Saint, Bill and Elaine Schwing wanted to provide their agility dog with a wholesome and delicious dog food made here in the United States. Struggling to find food with integrity, the Schwing’s decided to develop their unique formula of all natural ingredients that provide nutrients that every dog needs to live a healthy and happy life.

After Saint had given his paw of approval, Bill began his pursuit of creating KCCANINE’s All-Natural Pet Treats. He contacted the U.S. Department of Agriculture and K-State University, which is well-known for its agricultural and veterinarian sciences, for assistance. Inside the K-State food testing laboratory, Bill worked feverishly blending locally sourced meats and other wholesome ingredients together to perfect his recipe for KCCANINE treats, and finally developed a formula that was performance driven, but provided taste to keep your dog coming back for more.

We produce each one of our KCCANINE soft jerky treats in the famous flint hills of Kansas, at a family owned USDA certified plant. Our unique meat blend is smoked for 4 to 5 hours to create a shelf stable product that only consist of protein, carbohydrates, and all natural sugars. The good stuff that keep your dogs healthy and energized for a day at the park or running through an agility course.

We believe that what’s good for humans, is good for dogs, which are why all of our ingredients are responsibly sourced through human channels, to ensures only the highest quality of meats go into our treats.
